I joined the college having been transferred from Ravenshaw University, Cuttack. I have observed hundreds of sparrows in and around the college campus, and also at the nearby railway station, Keonjhargarh. I have taken a few snaps of these birds in my cell phone. This place being hilly and at high altitude; the presence of large numbers of sparrows really intrigued me. I visited Srinagar, Kargil(around 12000 ft above sea level) and Leh during the summer vacation where I also saw a few sparrows at high altitude.

Shri. Ashutosh Brahmachari goes for his walks around DPS school and according to him there is a nice cluster of scrubs on which he sees around 30 house sparrows regularly, but now some portion of the scrubs has been cut, so he fears that sparrows might migrate to a new locality now...
