this is called , bakshi bandh road , and chotta bagahara area , it is the area between ,pryag railway station and daraganj railway station , situated near ganga j , this is new residential area mixed with some old building, and larg paddy field , mainly vegetable and wheat is cultivated , this area is rich in sparrow , i always see this bird ,

this the fort of allahabad , its outer long and high stone wall , is the house of , many bird ,amphibia ,and reptile , situated near yamuna j , i see daily there sparrow , in the morning , people comes here , from across the india , they live here a night , and the remains of that food , wheat , rice , pulses are the food for this small bird sparrow , there4 is no competition of food and habitat , for this bird .so here these are frequetly seen here

Basically, I live in a multistoreyed multi wing society.
For each wing, drainage lines are open in the duct area. At each floor bathroom joints sparrows have built their nests. There must be around 15,20 birds for sure in this complex itself. However in my building largest count that I have seen is 6.
I keep extra roti or bread or snacks or rice for them to eat and they do complete the food every single day.

this is bank of river ganga , this is very old residencial area , where ,sparrow seen frequently, near chabutaras of gaths , used by priest , the sparrow worshipped as laxhmi, .

I have a feeding box in my window which is always filled with a cup of bajra seeds. Also I keep water in a plastic cup. Couple of sparrows come in the morning, but the box is more busy during the noon time. Generally I have to refill the box in 3-4 days.
This summer 2012 what I observed is that, once I forgot to fill the box and it was empty for a day. After it was filled, it took about a week to be empty. I was surprized to see the sudden difference in counsumption of food due to the missed day. But later on the routine of 3-4 days refilling continued.
Now I try not to keep box empty:-)
