We are seeing sparrows since from one year.. 2006 to 2010 we did not see sparrows much. But we can see them atleast rarely.
10 - 15 years back there were lot and lot of nest around the well which was resided at our farm. now there are no nests.

I live in Kalaghatagi. Visited that place twice, but i found more may be around 20 to 30 sparrows in that street. I really felt happy cause after so many days i saw that much sparrows.I tried to take snap but the flew away. People near by place say that if you through some rice grains they will come.. So I did, and they came i took video.

We have not made any particular observation as such. But sparrows here moderately do good, we have observed many nests near our field station. We have made some artificial nesting place like small house built using cardboard, bamboos etc but the good thing is sparrows are responding very well, the house were occupied within two days. A pair of sparrow lives in our jeep shed, every day between 1-2pm both sparrows wait and some time they do call for food!!
Our best wishes to all citizen sparrow team and sparrow lovers, at last not the least "LONG LIVE OUR SPARROWS".

every time when i go to selliyandiamman temple i hear the sparrow sound clearly about 10 to 15 may lived in like wise i saw sparrow in temple of iyar malai near kuliththalai.my opinion is that the departmant of hindhu aranilayam may be product the citizen sparrow in their temples thank you

we can still see a few sparrows flying from one tree/plant/shrub to other especially in the mornings between 5 am to 8am.
