Rajiv K. Singh Bais - Baguabasa Roopkund Trek Garhwal Himalaya Uttarakhand

Baguabasa. Roopkund Trek, Garhwal Himalaya. 26 May 2000. I visited this place on the way to Roopkund. There were few permanent stone huts for trekkers in this glacial basin full of rocks, but no sparrows. Area remains under snow except during pre and post monsoon season.

I had put up a wooden nest for the sparrows in the balcony, once they had laid 2/3 eggs, they hatched ,unfortunately I think the crows ate little ones.

Saranjit singh kahlon - Yamuna tower , jangid complex Mira Road East Mira Bhayandar Maharashtra

Every morning two to four sparrows come to my balcony for last seven years since i shifted to this bldg. Sometime i feed them but they are scare of human beings & other birds especially pigeons. I love to watch their movements & my little daughter – Nimrat of six months also enjoys to watch this bird. We should train our little one to watch & learn from these birds who teaches many things to human being provided they observe & learn from them. Pls let me know if i can help in any way to spread this words.

Akhil - ooty city ooty Tamil Nadu

It was in the streets of Ooty. That was the first time I was visiting Ooty in my life. After a long drive to the top of Ooty hills, we parked the vehicle near a coffee shop. The cold Ooty mornings were no hindrance to the sparrows. I saw a few sparrows eating the scattered food in the ground . They seem to have a good little little conversation between themselves. Even today Ooty is the a place which still homes a large number of sparrows. May be not as before but still comparing to any other city, sparrows seem to love the environment of Ooty a lot. I guess good vegetation and not so much of soaring temperature has made Ooty a sparrow's home.
