Mohala & Manpur in Rajnandgaon distt.

1. Manpur ; sparrows always present in bus stand and Ricemill area, 30/40 nos. Also nests recorded in ricemill campus.
2.Mohala ; In market / residential area sparrows always seen 30/40 nos.
3. Both these places are now not advisable for visit due to security reasons. Hence present status not known.

CCRT Dwarka Sector 7 New Delhi Delhi
21 May 2012. Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT) Sector 7, Dwarka, New Delhi. I spent about 4 hours here, roaming around the complex while my son took his art exam. Common myna nesting in a hole in the wall on the third floor; this was an exterior wall open to sky. Many more mynas were seen perched on the electric lines. Blue Rock Pigeons resting / nesting under the window ACs but no nesting place for sparrows. After a long search a lone male sparrow was spotted in the green lawns picking seeds from the grass. A thirsty red vented bulbul searched for water drops on a dry tap. The only butterfly was a Pale Grass Blue.

Jashpur township , old power house area, market etc.
Dt ; 26 April 1986.
1. Jashpur is about 2600 feet above MSL AND A BEAUTIFUL TOWN , SURROUNDED BY SAL FOREST.
2.Stayed for more than 3 hrs and during this period saw moree than 200/250 sparrows, mostly when returning to roost in evening hrs.
3. Also nests 3 nos , active in old power house campus.
