Dt 21 March 1993 ; House sparrow in long pursuit of a Blue Rock pigeon.
Dt 10 April 1993 ; House sparrow in vigorous pursuit of Jungle Crow , driving it to a distance of about 500 Mts.
Dt 14 May 1993.Around 10 PM, a male sparrows entered my bedroom and was dazed in bright flourescent light, attempted place to perch , in the process noticed insects around light and switched over to aerially capture them. Badly confused , soon left for the adjacent hall, where was joined by female, both hopped here& there and collected insects from floor, for about 40 minuts, then finally settling in a corner.

Bidul a small vill, located in a valley , surrounded by green hills, beautiful environments.
Dt 23 June 1992.
1. Visited place to see it.
2. Sparrows only 10/12 in evening hours.

MADA small town and many historical caves Mada Madhya Pradesh
Mada a small town & historical caves, within & at periphery of town.
Dt ; 23 June 1992.
1. In township area about 50/60 sparrows seen.
2. But around10/12 caves, about 10/12 birds only.
3. No nests.

LIC Colony LIC Colony, Borivali West Mumbai Maharashtra
Thankfully, LIC Colony is very green, lots of trees. I generally wake-up with the chirping of sparrows and the noisy crows, followed by parakeets, mynas, tailor birds, etc. I've also spotted white throated kingfisher, red vented bulbul, coucal, golden oriole and in the summers kokila.
Sparrows are mainly seen early in the morning and in the evening around 4 - 5 pm. Of late I feel the sparrows have become lesser. Maybe its due to the construction activity.
Lots of monstrous buildings like Aqua Grande and other redevelopment projects are coming up in the area, probably it disturbs the birds.

Bagdarha, Black buck Sanctuary in Sidhi / Mirzapur distts.

1. Around FRH & residential QTRS inside sanctuary , sparrows , few in nos about 10/12 only seen.
2. In enroute villages, Bichhi,Pondi , sparrows in comparatively better nos 20/30 each.
3. In all about 250/60 Black buck, 15 Blue bulls also seen
