This kind of a sad story but not shared with anyone.
A sparrow had built a nest in the space between our Cooler and the wall. It had laid some eggs and there were sparrow babies which used to make a cute chirping noise whenever the mother came to feed them. I liked to hear that voice.
One night we heard a lot of the baby chirping sound. Which was quite odd as we never heard it before. In the morning we saw that the ants had eaten the baby alive and its skeleton was glued to the cooler (they were still taking the pieces of meat).
For a long time after that (months) a sparrow used to sit on the window and continously chirp from day to night. I told it to my father and he said just one line 'aulad ke liye'. It has been over 20 years and I still remember it distinctly.
Sorry this is not one of the happy stories but just had one and felt like writing......

i am living in this area from 1998. i saw few sparows in this localty til 2005,but later i never saw sparrow in this locality,

Early morning, was very pleased to see sparrows in a commercial area (M.G road Mudigere). approximately 4-5 sparrows were playing and enjoying their life...!!!

1.We(Myself and my two brothers) being kids enjoyed feeding them everymorning (in front of our house)
2. The mirror in the frontroom of ours was favourite for 2 sparrows which they enjoyed (they used to feel other side of the mirror there were some more sparrows...!!!)
3. Hurt sparrow abonded by other sparrows..and how painfully it died..(our effort to save it did not succeed)

one of the memorable moments of my childwood was watching the group of sparrows,there were two to three nests in my neigbhours home,i used to feed some grains to those group of sparrows. during 1990 to 1998 i got to see lot of sparrows daily. but now i feel they are almost extinct.
