it's a small colony business place nearer to jog colony & owned by our department only Kargal Karnataka
when we arrive at here,KARGAL for domestic purchases,we use to see these birds especially in the grocery shop; the kind owner has provided them with nesting boxes & the birds sitting on grocery heap chivchiving happily.we used to observe this scene rather astonishingly.

1. Visited frequently and every time sparrows seen in Palace & market area.
2.In this visit also saw about 50/60 sparrows.
3. One nest in a house along the road

1.Stayed & moved in township for more than 2 hrs, in different localities.
2. About 150/160 sparrows seen , more in evening , when they collected to roost.

yes, we in our colony quarters used to come across these pretty birds almost every day sitting on window/door panes, foto/wall hanging frames making their characteristic "chiv chiv'sound; more seen during their nesting periods to find a suitable location for nesting.Surprisingly, no nests we have observd.
Relatives from Bangalore, when arrived here used to show these birds to their children at surprise.
