I think whoever wants to observe sparrows must visit Ooty. They are present almost everywhere like in our childhood and it was nice to see them this way. I saw them near the hotel I was staying in, on my walks around town to the Botanical Garden.

On my way home saw a pair of sparrows flying to a false entresol or mezzanine, that had a convenient place to build a nest at the top, with a sheltered roof above and far away from any danger from humans or animals. I am not sure if they were nesting (Do they at this time of the year? but this has been a very unusual summer and it has rained quite a bit in the past couple of weeks- never happens in May) but they were definitely preparing to roost with the sun going down. Good to know this pair found a safe spot.
