i spotted sparrows new my new house. i built a cardboard house and hung it in the parking area of my house. waited patiently for 2 months. finally a pair of sparrows arrived and started building their nest.

Only pigeons, mynas and crows were seen daily. Sparrow populution was practically nil.

In my house back in Mysore we used to see a lot of sparrows everyday few years ago. We used to have a lot of plants in our house which also made them to build nests.I used to be super excited to see the nests every single day. But now back there too its declined. Now in Bangalore at my place in E-city few sparrows do come everyday morning and perch near the balcony. The chirpy voices are back and I'm so very happy to see them. Hope they keep coming in more numbers. Will make one feeder too soon for them!

I first saw them 1 year back just a day and I never saw them again. Just 2 Months back I saw them again and have been seeing them till date. A week back I got an interest of feeding them and started feeding them with some dry rice and bread crumbs. I stood there for a while but they didn't come down so I thought they were scared of me.So I went away. When I came back after a while, I saw them perched up and couldn't find their food. Honestly, there were no crows in that quiet street except for a few mynahs.
