Tina Sachinwalla - Takka Village, Old Panvel Panvel Maharashtra

I live in Panvel at National Regency, and everyday I do make it a point to keep some foodgrains and water out on my balcony for the birds since its summer time, I do see a few sparrows every day in afternoon where they all gather for food where I keep food for them. And these birds are so beautiful, that after their stomach full meal they will sit and chirp and play in the water, that I keep for them every day. They are very shy birds but, I can keep looking at them for hours together. Thank You.

Leena Kaduskar - Chandivali Farm Road, Near Sangharsh Nagar Chandivali Mumbai Maharashtra

I have made a small garden in my balcony and installed a sparrow house. About 8 sparrows visit every day to have their grains and water from the sparrow house and the Garden in Balcony.

NK Rajput - Sai Baba Complex Gokuldham, Goregaon East Mumbai Maharashtra

There are quite a lot of trees in the locality (gulmohar, Coconuts, Ashoka etc) While i have observed many other bird species Golden Oriole, Red Vented bulbul, Oriental Magpie (apart from Crows, rock Pigeons & Mynas which are in large numbers) i did not sight much of Sparrows.

Around few years back the numbers were good (approx 30 - 40) in the locality, recently i have started observing very less numbers of them.

I planning to do something for them, would appreciate your help in the same.

Regards
NK Rajput
