I never saw house sparrows in this area. However, there are about hundreds of pigeons and parrots in this area. May be the presence and dwelling of so many pigeons is the reason that there are no house sparrows here.

The trees lining the central dividers on the central avenue were a bee-hive of sparrow activity. Some reduction due to disturbance caused due to road work. I am sure it will re-emerge.
Today's sparrow is more bold and seems to hold its own even when approached.
Some are bold enough to enter the kitchen area out of curiosity.

In and around Collectorate , good number of trees exist, on these sparrows converge in evening to roost , more than 200/250 birds.
On 27 Dec in daty time 20-30 birds were spotted in locality
