This was my first visit to the place to study the nesting site of Asian Openbills around Temple, here, birds had left.

Many other species were present, including sparrows about 30/40 in numbers. Also in a small house 3 active nests recorded

Always have been a good place for sparrows.

On 28 Nov 2009, about 30/35 birds seen during drive, no nests

In past good no of sparrows recoded along with nests.

On 28 Nov 2009 aboput 40/50 birds seen , but did not try to locate nests due to time constraint

It is ols township area and good number of sparrows are generally seen

On28 Nov 2009, in all anout 26/30 birds seen in about one Km .

In past nests regularly seen, but on this date seen none

During past visits good number of sparrows were seen and nests also located.

In March 2011, only 12/15 sparrows could be seen, obviously decline in population .
