I live on the 31st floor, and have never seen sparrows at this height. I don't know whether this is because they don't like heights ? On the 5th level of our building, we have a garden. I see sparrows occassionally in the garden, but not in large numbers - one or two at a time only.

In my area, there is an abundance of sparrows. we see them everyday, sitting in our balconies, in our garden bushes & nesting on small trees. We also see them nesting in dark corners of houses frequently.

Recently, a bird has built a nest just above the main door to my row-house.
I have to check and see if it's a sparrow or not.
Otherwise, I have not seen sparrows here in a long time.

I was a student in this time period. There were many sparrows at that time. All the time we could see them roaming about in the ground searching for some tit bits.They used to be very noisy all the time.
