I WANT TO SAVE THIS BIRD FOR MY ENVIRONMENT ANYHOW

During 2005-2009 there were lots of nests of sparrows i saw even in my house i saw the nest and also near my house, but near about 3 to 4 years I didn't saw any nest of sparrows.
I see daily 5 to 6 sparrows on my lemon tree. I put water in pot for sparrows in summer. I think in my area population of sparrows decreasing frequently. i don't know why.

Yes I have seen population going up not able to find any active nest .

We are recently shifted to the new residential colony..I have a habit of keeping bowl of water for birds..here I saw a pair of sparrows visiting our flat for water(very happy to see the almost extinct birds at home again)...den we started keeping few rice grains also..n now I see them coming here everyday for food n water at regular intervals..love to watch them every time.
