I used to see them early in the morning at about 06-00 hrs during my regular walk towards Grant Road Station ( Eat side ) from my home at Shakti Sadan C Co-op Hsg Soc which is opposite to Navjivan Society. Over the last 2 years, noise level has gone down indication reduction in number, but I still see more than 5 sparrows at a time.

Mr Dilip is resident of the area. He reports very rare sighting of sparrows in locality, whereas few years back these were seen in good numbers.
On 26 April 12, at 5 Pm, after brief spell of rain he saw 5 sparrows after lapse of sizeable time lapse.

Well, I remember some sparrows tried building nest in our building near cable wire and windows but unfortunately it was destroyed by building maintenance dept. There are a few numbers of sparrows still here tweeting n the morning but of course the no. has decreased a lot in past 2 years. I feel theres badly need of providing sparrow houses for helping this elegant bird survive in such concrete jungles. We keep water and some grains for birds near our balcony for sparrows and some other birds.

these lovely sparrow live in my house in a number of more than 5o.They make nest on drawers.I was surprised yo hear that these are first bought by my grandfathers of my fathers.You can not see these any houses of my villages except mine.
