This is the period when the locality i live, was growing like anything.. lots of buildings, mobile towers, Inner Ring Road(IRR) work were being carried and the big lake in our area was divided and reduced to half due to IRR work and the local municipality dumped their garbages on one part of divided lake increasing the risk of losing ground water and the species like Sparrow and Cukkoo getting disappeared that we used to watch.

I used to watch lots of sparrows and i love to hear the chriping sound in the mornings in my school days.. we used to feed grains often from our open terrace and have also attempted to grow in our house. But, unfortunately as it was becoming weak once we caught, we dont want to let the bird do die. we left it and watched its take-off so happily. those were the days that were unforgottable. My area was near-by a big lake which used to span across half km. But now-a-days as there were lot of technology developments (like flyovers, mobile towers, flats covering open spaces)in our area and the size of the big lake reduced to more than half, it is unimaginable how the tiny species have lost its home ground..

I have been visiting GIACR Engg College @ Rayagada every year for the last 5 years to take up classes for Civil Engg Students. I stay at a College Guest House (check the co-ordinates). This year I happened to see the sparrows and immediately snapped some photos. I dont remember seeing them before but when enquired, students said that these chirpy little birds are very frequent here.
I basically belong to Visakhapatnam but havent seen these birds for many years.

Near to Sunday market Nanjai Edayar Tamil Nadu 638182
I am seeing this bunch of sparrow almost every day, I feel they can identify my presence when ever new members or friends come to my house they are disturbed otherwise they are not scared of me they come very near to me some time I even feed them so closely seated I provide water in a mud bowl specially for them There as a glass window in my room very often I find they sitting in front of the mirror thinking as if another bird is there pecking the glass I'll not be seen by them but I can see them I have a few photography and video with me soon I 'll try to publish in this site.since their is no one else live in that place It is my farm house. They find it suitable to nest. recently some 4-5 new arraival i find and it is pleasant to hear them chirp and play in my garden.
