During the period mentioned above (200-2004) the house sparrows usually tried to enter the house and build their nests inside the house, typically above the fans or inside the lofts. But in past 3-5 years the sighting of these sparrows have decreased drastically. One would be lucky to find these sparrows. There might be few reasons associated with this change, such as 1. Less open grassland (trees, shrubs, plants) 2. Better sealed building envelopes which resists birds entrance inside ones home 3. Scarce food available for these birds.

No trace at all in our area. located Plenty at Bombay and Konnur (Nilgiris) Some years before located this birds in our village near. people cought using nets for making Chittukuruvi Legiam(a terms use for sparrow ) this legiam is made for Human body increasing there vitality is strength. hence i believe this birds vanished apart from other reasons. i require your postal address for regular communication.
