the building i was leaving had a old big hole in it, so 5 to 6 years back i observed them nesting there and producing offspring. those offspring were also observed follow their ancestral foot steps are were nested there. they were healthy and happy but as the surrounding area stated to develop and pollution the slowly disappeared and i never saw them till mow.

In my residential area , sparrows are frequently seen . Their nests are also seen . They make their nests in the gaps of the electric bulbs in street lights . Now I am daily observing a particular sparrow family they built their nest in Grape stem in my garden . Their nest making is very interesting . In grape stem they fold a grape leaf and pasting it , then collect cotton in it . now mother sparrow laid eggs in it , then father sparrow is visiting the nest with food to mother sparrow . Now I am waiting to heard the chkling sound of young ones .

Clusters of sparrows roost here inhabiting shrub-like trees; dispersing during the day and returning to roost every evening along with roosting clusters of equally large numbers of common mynahs (Acridotheres tristis). The numbers of sparrows are usually 200 or so strong, by my estimate. These trees are on the side of a busy town road quite close to the station area, so it is surprising that the sparrows and mynahs who have been living here traditionally since I began noticing them in 1987 and onwards have not moved their roosting site though constructions, shopping and vehicular traffic (including mobile towers etc, SIC!!!) have come up all around their homesteads.
