This area was a forest area earlier which has developed into a residential area, with nearby farmhouses, coconut groves and lots of trees ( including old ones)are stillexistent..hence lots of birds like eagles, nightingales, parrots, mynas, cuckoo, white cranes are regular visitors, of late due to garbage non clearance by local authorities, black crows have started coming in but strangely no sparrows.. reason could be the architecture of houses which are new and the distance between each tree is inapt for the habitat...
