Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? After having lived away from home since 1998, I moved back to Hyderabad in 2010 and noticed that the sparrows have gone missing. I asked my friends about them and I was told that they just vanished which kept me wondering. One day during the month of September 2012, I was walking across a street near my home at dusk and noticed a pair of sparrows chriping away merrily with a piece of leaf in its beak. I was wonder struck by the sight which lasted only for a few seconds before they flew away. I asked the people nearby if this signting was a familiar one at that location but could not get a favourable response. I heard so that the little chirping friends of my childhood days sparrows are nearing extinction and I wish to save them. I am ready set up nesting areas at the place of my residence and shall also rope in some more volunteers. I need some advice and I hope someone from your end would be able to guide me. Thanks in advance. - Ajai
