I grew up with sparrows. I have been seeing sparrows for almost half my life (8 years)and wake up to them.For me conservation of sparrows is not just important for the sake of them being around us for the past many decades. Sparrows are an essential part of the balance within their ecosystem. Bird feeders, bird baths and nest boxes play an integral role not just in the conservation of sparrows but also of all other birds they support. If everyone could take some small measure to help sparrows have more space available for nesting, food and water there would be far more happy stories to tell about these chirpy little friends of ours.
