| Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? | Sparrows used to always be making nests and flying in the area. However with lack of water, increased noise and other sound disturbances, lack of nesting areas, sparrows have dis-appeared from the area. I saw surprisingly sparrows in the ICD Tughlakabad office after a gap of over 10 years. The area does have other bird life and interesting species are seen but sadly the humble sparrow is not to be seen. We should cultivate a habit of putting out a water basin in extreme summer so that the odd bird flying has some source of water and as well if possible grain to eat at a safe height. We need to be conscious of our nvironment and end of the day we share the space with others as well be it birds etc. |
