Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period?formerly upto year 2000, the houses with tiled roofs were present and sparrows used to make nests in roof wooden rafters. even in the mhada buildings they used to nest. Now old houses are replaced by towers so nesting places are reduced. secondly people are unneccessarily feeding the pigeons. they feed approximately 3 to 5 kg of wheat, jawar, Nachani and corn. their number has increased and they are driving away the sparrows. so feeding of pigeons and KABUTARKHANA S must be stooped if you want to save sparrows. the pigeons do not allow them to take a water or dust bath. they eat all the small insects and sparrows can not feed themselves. formerly in 2000, we can see large flock of sparrows taking bath in my garden in shallow puddle. Now pigeons come there to drink and do not allow sparrows to drink. If you want I have some photoes of sparrow drinking and bathing. please let me know the email address so I can send them.
