5-7 years ago we were accustomed with sparrows (50-75) in number building nests in the large number of cement cubicles in our house and in the neighbourhood.With the increase in the number of mobile towers in our locality (6-7 towers within a radius of 1km) we noticed that young sparrows (recently hatched) are falling down and dying in pathetic condition for some unknown reason.Within 10-11 months most sparrows vanished.and in recent time only 1-2 are visible .No scene of building nests observed till now.Another observation - rapid development of small houses in nearby grasslands and agricultural lands.
