Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? We lived in this area for almost a year. At the time, our house was on the first floor of an independent house, and we had a long, narrow balcony right in front. We were visited by sparrows everyday, and used to feed them. They even used to make nests in convenient nooks and ventilators, which were abundant in the house, as the construction was not of the modern type. I remember once, a sparrow flew in when we were least expecting it, and it struck the ceiling fan which was on, and instantaneously died. I was only 13 years old then, and I cried my heart out. But this incident upset me so much, that I have been very careful ever since, to see that no bird is around when I am using the fan. Or if any bird wishes to enter, I make sure all the fans are off! They are too precious to lose!
