Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? When i moved into this apartment there was a bushy tree in front of the apt, next to where we park our cars. There were around 10 to 15 of them. Started feeding them with bird seeds. Others in the apts give them cooked rice etc. One day when i came back from office, was shocked to see the tree being cut, since they were going to metal & redo the road. But was glad to see them relocating to another tree across the road. Even then, they always come at 6AM for the feed. 6 months back somebody started construction on the site adjacent to their newly found home, which forced them to move to the current area indicated above. Surprisingly their no's are increasing day by day. some days 15 to 18 of them come & start fighting with each other for the feed. Got pots meant for birds & placed them high above where no one can reach. They go in & start calling others, but don't think they have started using it yet.
