Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period?I use to have sparrows in my own home, they took shelter in fan holes on roof. At a very young age I remember to have eggs broken at floor and I use to try up bringing them by various methods of feeding, but they died due to natural differences. Now I am keen follower of sparrow in my area. I can show reseaerchers if they want. Many sparrow are found in this area. I have recently spotted a nest and the couple of nest feeds on my money plant kept in my balcony. The nest is inside Cable operators box tied on a electric pole. Another group of sparrow 100-200 resides on a tree in a MCD school under construction. These sparrows love to be in a plant I dont know the name of that bel wala plant also have a long flower with sweet flavour if tasted. I have came to the conslusion reason behind their absence that they use to feed on wheat kept for drying in sunlight. Earlier there was no readymade wheatfloor available, people use to buy wheat, wash them and dry them in sun (sparrow feeded on them, i remember flying them away). Today hardly anyone do that, all buy pilsbury, shaktibhog etc. Now I see people keep bajra for pigeons which sparrows dont like much. Mobile radiation is also a reason. One question will prevail that no one has found sparrow body if they died. Earlier sparrow was found dead at many places due to natural reasons. Earlier it was fresh water which was available to all humans and animals. Now treatment plants send water to us which may have been contaminated with chemical which is not harmful to humans but sparrow may have been infected. Excesive hot weather may also be one reason for their absence.
