First of all, I thank you for this initiative.
During 2010-2012 , there was a steep declining trend of house sparrows. I believe that the decline started even before 2010, roughly around mid 2009. By early to mid 2011 the sparrow count reduced to nearly 0 and now there are no sparrows at all in the neighbourhood. We see all other birds but no sparrows. The morning chirp of the sparrows has vanished for more than a year now.
The general belief is because of the cell phone towers (2 of them) raised in the near proximity. Cell phone towers were raised sometime in 2005-2006 - (not very sure on the dates), the decline started.

First of all, I thank you for this initiative.
During 2005-2009, we had sparrows all the time and our mornings used to start with the chirping of Sparrows. We used to see nests in the trees of our garden.
Around mid 2009, I believe that the decline started and it was a steep one in 2010 -2011.
