There was a well in front of the building I live and there were two big babool trees near the well. There were approx 10 nests of sparrows on the babool tree and lots of sparrows. The surrounding area was also city outskirts and a rural area, a village. There were farmlands just behind our colony.

I saw more than 5 sparrows every time those were coming around my home. They built there nest below the roofs of the houses and some on the small trees in the village. There number was more in the mornings and then gradually decreases. this information dates to july, 2015.

DUE TO THE TREMENDOUS DECREASE IN THE NUMBER OF HOUSE SPARROWS DURING THE PERIOD 2013-2014 Z BOYS ASSOCIATION DECIDED TO INITIATE A PROGRAMME WHICH WILL HELP THE SPARROWS FOR PROVIDING ARTIFICIAL NEST BOXES . WE FIXED AROUND 15 NEST IN AND AROUND THE MUNICIPAL MARKET AND STARTED OBSERVING .
