During my child hood,I have seen them making nest in our home. During schooldays I have seen them twittering pleasant songs. After my college days now I'm searching them and it's hard to find one. Our campus is the home for many spices birds, I still see woodpeckers, myna ,longtailed quil,crow ,crane and cucoo ., etc but I can't see sparrow . A month ago I heard them twittering in beach but its hard to spot them.

Deep from my heart I don't want sparrow to get extinct

Am always observing the house sparrows .once allowed the sparrows to built nest in my house and enjoyed their humming

i think due to modernization concrete jungle is being made in delhi and many other cities too. we really need to do something so we can rehabilitation the sparrow. i personally wish to do something for this. but i need some advise that what i need to do for this work. i want to see my garden full of sparrow.

after 8 to 9 years gap I saw 5 house sparrows sitting on my window grill chirping happily this summer that is somewhere in April or May 2014. 3 female 2 male .. we were so happy to see them after a long absence ..they had come to drink water which I keep in every window in earthen bowl. saw them for a week then gone.
but I have not seen any after July 2014 till now that is Oct 2014

I made a nest made of wood which had three compartments and now it is occupied by sparrows in two compartments and a myna in one compartment.First they were fighting with each other and after some time they started living together without any issues.happy to see that.
