I didnt see too many sparrows earlier. A year ago I put a bird feeder and withen 2 weeks a sparrow used to come occasionally to feed. There is a hole made in the external wall of my balcony, two sparrows made a nest in it! It was delightful to see them take twigs etc to build it. And even more delighted when we saw the baby sparrows! I put a nestbox as well but they prefer the hole in the wall.
