I noticed sparrows roaming in large numbers at grocery shops,pecking sacks of rice every time they flew into the shop. wholesale Shops near market and Indian overseas Bank. They have gone altogether, eventhough the shops are there without any change. I often wondered what on earth made them disappear ! Was it those huge five or so mobile phone towers the reason behind their abscence? Or usage of pesticides on food grains ? or the dwindling pastures?
