Mr Faiz Bux , who lives in the locality records irregular sighting , he could not record nests , but in my opinion sparrows must nest in the area , as it has many tiled roof houses.

Mr Khunte reports regular sighting of sparrows , in almost whole of the town .
Mostly smaller flocks , but at time of prepatory to roost congregate upto more than 100 in numbers, but the fact is , there is 30- 40 % reduction in population in last decade

Nelson chowk area, Mental Hospital, sadar Nelson chowk area, sadar Nagpur Maharashtra
It is really sad that during my many visits in last 5 years and stay in Nelson chowk area I never saw any sparrow in the area of one km radius, though other birds are present eg Mynas, pigeons, doves, parakeets, koel, drongos, etc
As a whole I am very much disappointment for not seeing sparrows in Nagpur city, though they may be present.
I have recorded them in the outskirts and in country sides.
It was nice to read observations of one of the participants that he has recorded in Sitabuldi area, but unfortunately I could not
